Fort Cavazosis one of the largest United States military installationsin the world and is the home of III Corps, 1st Cavalry Division, 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (13 ESC), First Army Division West, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, and other units. The installation serves as the primary Training Platform for the above units; however, Fort Cavazos also supports a variety of training units to include pre-deployment training site for all branches of our military preparing for a variety of operating environments including Iraq, Kosovo, and Africa as well as preparing for our homeland defense missions. Scope: This Statement of Work (SOW) requires the procurement of professional services, material, and labor to repair and improve maneuver infrastructure at Fort Cavazos, Texas. By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees to comply with all Agency terms and conditions. These supersede any other terms and conditions issued by the bidder. When deemed appropriate by the Agency, questions will be answered by bid addendum Bid Bond/Proposal Guaranty - Not required. Payment Bond - Required on projects totaling more than $25,000. Performance Bond - Required on projects totaling more than $100,000. The cost of any such bonding must be included in the Base Bid amount. No additional charges will be allowed for bonding. The successful Bidder must provide bonds executed on the standard Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) forms prior to beginning work SPECIFICATIONS: Specifications or brand names given are meant to be descriptive rather than restrictive. Other manufacturer's exact equivalents will be considered. If bidding other than specified, please submit full descriptive literature and technical specifications with your bid response. AWARD BASED ON BEST VALUE: Texas A&M AgriLife Research reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, to accept the offer considered most advantageous and award the bid based on best value criteria. In determining what is the best value to the Agency, the Agency shall consider any or all of the following: o Purchase price o The reputation of the vendor and the vendor's goods or services. o The quality of the vendor's goods or services. o The extent to which the goods or services meet the agency's needs. o The vendor's past relationship with the Agency. o The total long-term cost to the Agency in acquiring the vendor's good or services. o The length and coverage of the vendor's warranty. o The delivery time. o Any other relevant factor that a private business entity might consider in selecting a vendor.
