Phase 1 will be the reconstruction of Meadowcrest Boulevard from Ludlow Avenue to Borgman Avenue. Phase 2 will be the reconstruction of Sherwood Drive from Henley Avenue to Roy Court. Phase 3 will be the reconstruction of Ludlow Avenue from Scotia Road to Meadowcrest Boulevard. Phase 4 will be the reconstruction of Berkley Avenue from Balfour Avenue to Vernon Avenue. Each roadway will remain open for residents during all removals and utility installation. Once excavation is to occur the road must be completely closed. The overlapping of project phasing is allowed and will be reviewed by the City Pavement reconstruction, sewer replacement / repair & water main replacement at four locations within Huntington Woods. The complete removal of an existing asphalt pavement, base and concrete curb & gutter and drive approaches on Berkley, Meadowcrest, Ludlow, & Sherwood, installation of a 10" aggregate base coarse and a 4" thick bituminous asphalt pavement, including replacement of water main, concrete curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalk, sidewalk ramps storm sewer, and miscellaneous appurtenances where called out for on the plans or as directed by the Engineer. Job Location MULTIPLE LOCATIONS Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid and be made payable to the City of Huntington Woods, as security for acceptance of the contract. The City of Huntington Woods reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid should it consider same to be in the best interest of the City. Further, the City of Huntington Woods reserves the right to accept a bid higher than the lowest bid, if in the opinion of the Commission of the City of Huntington Woods, the public's interest would be better served. All bids may be held by the City of Huntington Woods for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to award of contract.
