Site work for a water / sewer project in Muscatine, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Muscatine Water & Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is requesting proposals for mowing and lawncare services at 13 lift stations located throughout the city and one stormwater basin located on Mulberry Avenue (see maps for locations and areas to be mown). Several areas will be mown less frequently to encourage low growing flower growth within the grass and may require tall weed removal by hand or other means. This special mowing and weeding schedule will be determined by the WRRF Plant Director. No pesticide or herbicide spraying is allowed on any of the properties. The selected respondent to this request for bids shall serve as an independent contractor (not an employee) and therefore shall not be entitled to any employee benefits. This agreement will be for lawn services May through October of 2024. Payment will be made monthly June through November and will be 16.7% (1/6th) of the lump sum bid for mowing and other services as outlined. Invoices should be submitted on or about the 1st of the month for the previous month's work. Payment will be made once bills are approved by Council the first and third Thursday of each month with invoicing due no later than 1 week prior.
