The Project consists of the Construction of work identified in Phase Two B2-2 only including, but not limited to, a new Fleet Maintenance Building and site work including construction of new utilities, parking areas, landscaping and other site improvements as identified. The Drawings indicate multiple phases. This bid package covers all work to be performed in the area noted as Phase Two B-2 and excludes work noted as Phase Two C. Work shown in area noted as Phase Two B-2 may overlap with work identified in Phase Two directly or indirectly. It is the responsibility of the contractor to coordinate and confirm all required work necessary to complete the project. Before primary demolition activities begin, Contractor will be required to remove and relocate the existing salt brine equipment and tanks to the north side of the Public Works Facility on the east side of the salt storage building. The equipment will be palletized while the tanks can be placed on the pavement. Once that is completed, Contractor may begin demolition, leveling, and grading the project area (approximately 100,000 SF) and removing any obstacles. From this point, Contractor can install all required utilities as shown on the plans, place storm drain and water systems; install required retaining wall structures, curb, gutter, and sidewalk; and all other site improvements as shown on the plans; erect the new Public Works Fleet Building (approximately 23,800 SF) with all the required parts and features; place all other ancillary structures and improvements as shown on the plans, including the hard scape and landscaping, and site improvements, etc. Proposer shall include a provision in their proposal that they can reach substantial completion within 13 months of the Notice to Proceed.
