The Scope of Work includes the removal and planting of street trees. The trees to be removed will be ash and bradford/callery pear. The trees to be planted must be of various species and size as detailed in the bid documents. They will be replacements both for trees removed under this contract, and trees removed by City staff. The City will perform all stump grinding. While the primary intent of this bid is to award a contract for services in 2024, we have also requested pricing for 2025. Should services be satisfactory in 2024, the 2025 pricing could be utilized to extend the contract for a second year. It is anticipated that a contract would be taken to the Board of Aldermen for approval at their March 25th meeting, and notice to proceed would be issued shortly thereafter. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
