Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Georgetown, Delaware. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Pre-bid Meeting: No Dbe Goal: 11 % Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal Ojt Trainees: N/a Location: Sussex County These Improvements Are More Specifically Shown on the Location Map(S) of the Attached Plans. Description: the Improvements Consist of Furnishing All Labor and Materials for This Project Which Involves the Replacement of the Existing Rigid Frame With a Structure at Bridge 3-114. The Replacement Structure Will Consist of a Concrete Rigid Frame With Concrete Wingwalls. Additional Work Includes the Placement of Riprap in the Stream for Scour Protection, Installation of Guardrail, and Reconstruction of the Approaches as Necessary. The Work Will Be Performed Under a Full Road Closure. Follow Other Incidental Construction in Accordance With the Location, Notes and Details Shown on the Plans, and as Directed by the Engineer. All work on this contract must be complete within 60 Calendar Days. Extensions of contract time due to weather are specified in the Standard Specifications Section 108.7F, weather days. It is estimated a Notice to Proceed is issued such that work starts on or about October 14, 2024. Questions regarding this project are to be e-mailed to the above address no less than six business days prior to the bid opening date in order to receive a posted response. Surety Bond - Each Proposal Must Be Accompanied by a Deposit of Either Surety Bond or Security for a Sum Equal to at Least 10% of the Amount Bid. Performance-based Rating System - 29 Del.c. $6962 (C)(12)(a) Requires Deldot to Include a Performance-based Rating System for Contractors.
