Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
Questions are due by 3/4/24 at 4:00 PM. Selective demolition of interior non-structural building components and systems to expose existing structure at: floors, walls and ceilings, asbestos abatement, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to The WORCESTER HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposite is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000 Location- 24 Mill Street, Worcester, MA Goals for minority participation for each trade: 1.6 Goals for female participation for each trade: 6.9 The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Selective demolition of interior non-structural building components and systems to expose existing structure at; floors, walls and ceilings, asbestos abatement and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 2. Owner shall be responsible for work related to the following trades: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm and Fire Protection. Work by Owner consist of disconnect and make safe as required for selective demolition. 3. Removal and disposal of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm and Fire Protection equipment and related materials shall be by the Contractor. 4. Contractor shall be responsible to schedule and coordinate; HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm and Fire Protection work with the Owner. 5. Owner shall be responsible for temporary utilities shut down during construction. Shut down consist of water, electrical and gas. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for Fire-Safety Program, compliance with requirements of NFPA 241 and authorities having jurisdiction including Worcester Fire Department. 7. Owner shall be responsible of maintaining existing fire protection (sprinkler system) operational as required by NFPA 241 and authorities having jurisdiction including Worcester Fire Department during Project duration. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and schedule this work with the Owner. 8. Owner shall be responsible for fire alarm as required by NFPA 241 and authorities having jurisdiction including Worcester Fire Department during Project duration. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and schedule this work with the Owner. 9. Contractor shall be responsible for fire watch as per Worcester Fire Department requirements and authorities having jurisdiction. 10. Contractor shall be responsible to maintain building egresses clear and safe during construction. Project Duration: (90) calendar days.
