**As of March 27, 2024, This project has been awarded to Wenger Excavating, Inc., with the awarded amount of $854,019.60.** Sealed bids will be received by the City of Canton (the "City"), as provided in this notice for the Cromer Ave. Area Water Main Replacement (TAG 587B) Project (the "Project"). Questions regarding plans and specifications should be addressed in writing to Purchasing Department, at purchasing@cantonohio.gov. All questions should be submitted in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the bid opening. This is 2/28/2024, 2:00 PM. The Owner reserves the right to issue Addenda changing, altering, or supplementing the Contract Documents prior to the time set for receiving bids. All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing wage rates apply. All bidders will be required to comply with the City Contract Compliance Program regarding equal employment opportunity. After submission and opening, no bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the City reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility.
