The Randolph Golf Complex is a typical municipal, parkland golf course with many old trees, long fairways and forgiving grass rough areas between holes. The complex consists of approximately 251 acres with 133 acres on Randolph North, 108 acres on Del Urich and 10 acres on the driving range. The Del Urich course was redesigned in 1996 to incorporate flood detention basin to mitigate downstream flooding. In 2018, Tucson voters approved proposition 407, the parks and connection bond, to make improvements to parks, golf courses, pedestrian pathways and bicycle pathways. The proposition included almost $5,000,000 for golf course irrigation improvements. On December 12, 2023 Tucson Mayor and Council directed staff to explore making improvements to the walk experience along 22 nd Street which will require changes to Del Urich, and to further explore other phases of improvements to include developing a championship Randolph North golf course, improving the walking experience on the David Bell path, creating a walking path between the park, more open space/park space and options for funding/financing the improvements. Question Submission Deadline February 20, 2024, 4:00pm City of Tucson, hereinafter referred to as "COT", is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from Design-Build Firms, in accordance with Arizona Revised Statues Title 34, for the analysis, design and construction of improvements at the Randolph Golf Complex, Randolph Park and David Bell pathway. The estimated cost for the entire project is Phase 1 - $2,100,000 and Phase 2 (Potential) - $18,200,000.
