Demolition and site work for a development in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the demolition of a development; and for site work for a development.

As of June 21, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. This work shall be considered part of the DMT Resiliency and Flood Mitigation project; the Sea Curb work includes selective demolition, removal, and salvage of existing features and components of DMT Berths 1-13 and adjacent areas, and construction of flood and storm surge resistant barrier structures, including both immovable (fixed) concrete systems and a variety of moveable (removable and deployable) systems. The demolition, removal, and salvage work includes: removal and disposal of cast steel cleats; selective removal and salvage of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) backing beam and associated components; removal and disposal or reinstallation of various site features and components that would otherwise interfere with immovable and movable barrier systems. New flood barrier construction consists of: slipformed reinforced concrete Sea Curb system; reinforced cast-in-place concrete parapet barrier system; removable barrier systems at vessel ramp opening locations consisting of precast concrete gravity blocks; deployable barrier systems at bollard and other opening locations consisting of hinged steel gate systems. Associated work includes provision of precast and/or cast-in-place concrete foundation elements, earthwork, paving, and scupper-type drainage systems at the fixed barrier systems. The contract awarded shall allow for 490 Calendar Days for the completion of all work under this contract. Failure of the Contractor to comply with this schedule, taking into account Contract extensions granted by the Administration due to change orders, shall result in the assessment of liquidated damages of ($1,409.00) for each day the work under the contract remains incomplete.
