The project is expected to be awarded sometime in April 2024.** The Project includes the following Work: The Town of Clifton is located within Greenlee County, Arizona. The Town is bisected by the San Francisco River. The area known as South Clifton is protected by a levee designed and completed in 1995 by the Army Corps of Engineers. North Clifton is protected by flood walls on either side of the San Francisco River. To allow drainage from the Town to the San Francisco River there are a series of drains which penetrate the flood walls. To prevent water from back flowing through the drains during high flows in the San Francisco River, the drains are equipped with either slide or flap gates on the downstream, or river side, of the flood walls. This project entails the removal of the existing flap and slide gates and the installation of flap gates, according to the construction plans, specifications, and manufacturer's recommended installation specifications. All project gates are located along the San Francisco River. The Town of Clifton has a budget of $79,000 allotted for this project. The project is expected to be substantially complete in 120 days and ready for final payment in 150 days. The Town of Clifton also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening. Bidders will not be allowed to withdraw submitted bids during the sixty (60) day period.
