City of Gunnison Electric Department is requesting SOQs from a qualified engineering firm to assist with the development of an electric distribution system master plan. This assistance shall come in the form of various scenarios of load growth, alternative expansion options, and system reliability through the installation of substations, transmission, and underground and overhead distribution circuits. The distribution study shall serve as the baseline for the electric distribution system as part of the City's strategic plan for the electric utility. Elements of this study will be used for the prioritization and location of future projects, to include serving in a decision matrix for ongoing distribution system and substation capital planning. Since 2020 the City has completed four phases of projects from a previous electric distribution study and will complete the final phase in 2024. The City would like recommendations for the next 5-10 years to expand on capacity and reliability in the distribution system due to large electric demand and growth. Future projects will be issued as Task Orders. The City reserves all rights, which shall be exercisable in its sole discretion, without limitation or cause or notice, the following and/or any applicable law: The right to reject any or all SOQs without limitation and/or to cancel, re-issue, postpone, or withdraw the RFQ at any time without incurring any obligation or liability
