Reference Number 0000343876 The City of Gunnison (Gunnison) is requesting SOQs from qualified Consultants to provide professional engineering services for the purpose of completing an Irrigation Ditch Master Plan and Feasibility Study of the city-wide irrigation system. The City's water department currently operates an open ditch irrigation system (26 miles) to provide free irrigation water to approximately 40% of City residents including Western Colorado University during the irrigation season (typically mid-May to mid-September). This irrigation system utilizes the City's senior water rights on the Gunnison River and comprises lined and unlined open ditches, road crossings, and other piped segments, as well as headgates and other control infrastructure.
