The work of this contract includes cleaning the exterior surface of the 750,000-gallon Bluff Water Storage Tank and the 150,000-gallon Passover Water Storage Tank. The Bluff Water Storage Tank is a composite sty le tank with an overflow height of 152.49 feet and a head range of 37.6 feet. Cleaning of the Bluff Water Storage Tank does not include cleaning of the concrete stem. The Passover Water Storage Tank is a pedestal style tank with an overflow height of 152.60 feet and a head range of 32.6 feet. Contractor shall remove all mildew, mold, debris, and other deleterious substances from the exterior surface of the steel bowl and removal of all waste products from the site. Work shall include any other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. The contract includes an alternate to clean the exterior surface of the 1,500,000-gallon Swiss Village Water Storage Tank. The Swiss Village Water Storage Tank is a composite style tank with an overflow height of 135.50 feet and ahead range of 40 feet. This alternate does not included cleaning the concrete stem of the Swiss Village Water Storage Tank. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms provided in the bound Bidding Documents Package and be accompanied by the bidder's certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. A performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to obtain a contractor's license and submit a certificate of insurance for workers' compensation. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Any Bidder or equipment supplier whose firm or affiliate is listed on the General Services Administration (GSA) publication entitled "Lists of Parties Excluded from Federal Procurement or Non-procurement Programs" will be prohibited from the bidding process. Anyone submitting a bid who is so listed will be determined to be a non-responsive Bidder in accordance with 40 CFR 31. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 in regard to non-discrimination in employment.
