Renovation of an educational facility in El Cajon, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Contractor shall perform all Work within the time stipulated the Contract and shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, utility services, and transportation to complete all of the Work required in strict compliance with the Contract Documents Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: C-39 Roofing or B-General, as appropriate. Questions are to be submitted by email no later than February 20, 2024, 4:00 p.m The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract, regardless of the contract amount. - Overlay existing roofing system with TPO roofing per manufacturer specifications - Remove and replace all roof jacks as required in specifications to have a complete warrantied system acceptable to the manufacturer. - Remove and replace all conduit/pipe supports with "C Port" roof supports or approved equal at a spacing of 8' on center minimum. Supports to be secured properly per the manufacturer recommendations and or industry standards. No wood supports allowed! - Install (1) 6' x 3' walk pad at every entrance/exit point of every TPO roof and (1) 6' x 3' walk pad at each HVAC unit on the working side of the unit. - Contractor to furnish and install all flashings including but not limited to curbs, pipes, supports, posts, walls and conduits to create a complete water tight system that meets the manufacturer requirements and general industry standards for each type of roofing system.. - Protection of all interior and exterior areas, and final clean up. - Remove and replace necessary parts of the expansion joint where required to meet specification and manufacturer recommendations. - Contractor will be responsible for protection of roof during roofing operations. - See attached maps for areas of work. - Remove and replace roof drains where shown on contract documents. Type and process to be per the specs and Bid Documents. - Remove and infill roof vent/curbs at all buildings where shown on contract documents. - Install new roof vents at each of the classroom building raised roofs as shown on contract documents. Vents to Toro Aire model # RSVT-16 or approved equal. - Replace all skylights with American Skylites Inc. Fall Protection skylight Model TCM-FG Double Domed, Clear white, mill finished, custom sized, based on field measurements where shown on contract documents
