The work described in this Solicitation shall be performed at the entrance area of the Fountain Creek Nature Center located at 320 Peppergrass Lane, Fountain, Colorado 80817. El Paso County is soliciting responses from qualified Contractors to furnish all materials and labor as necessary for the construction of an ADA compliant ramp at the Fountain Creek Nature Center for the El Paso County Parks and Recreation Department. Work is anticipated to be completed between May 20, 2024 and August 1, 2024. The Fountain Creek Nature Center was established in 1992. The nature center contains many indoor exhibits for visitors to learn about the natural environment around Fountain Creek. The nature center is connected to the parking lot by a ramp which is not compliant with current ADA standards. To meet accessibility requirements, the construction of a new ADA compliant ramp is a worthwhile and attainable goal.
