The City of Bakersfield (City) desires to enter into an agreement with one or more qualified contractors to provide digester cleaning services on an "on-call" basis for the Wastewater Division. The term of agreement shall be in place for one year from the effective date of the agreement and may be extended in accordance with the provisions of this RFQ for three additional one-year periods at the City's option and mutually agreeable terms. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to providing pumping equipment, personnel, and all materials necessary for cleaning the digesters at both Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 (Plant 2) and Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 (Plant 3). The removal of sludge and all other waste materials from the digesters and their disposal will be conducted in a safe and industry acceptable manner as directed by the City. Compensation will be dependent on the SOQ's submitted. The City anticipates award of one or more contracts with a compensation of up to One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000). Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% All work shall be subject to prevailing wages in accordance with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations. Contractor must be registered as Public Works Contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and must maintain registration valid throughout the term of the agreement. Question Deadline 03/05/2024 at 10:00 AM PT All questions must be received by the CITY in written form on the form provided no later than 10:00 A.M. ten calendar days prior to the scheduled RFQ due date. The City of Bakersfield reserves the right to terminate this Request for Qualifications after three (3) days' notice to all prospective Proposers.
