2024 Asphalt Resurfacing Program The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required for milling, grading, and installation of asphalt pavement for North and South Brooklyn Street and North Kossuth Street, as shown by the plans and contract documents, complete, ready for use and acceptable to the City of Berlin. The principal items for which proposals are invited are: 240 CY EBS & Additional Sub-Base 3,560 SY Milling, Full Depth 395 TN 4 LT 58-28 S, 1-3/4" Thick (Finish) 505 TN 3 LT 58-28 S, 2-1/4" Thick (Binder) 130 LF Curb & Gutter Patching 1 LS Traffic Control & Access Prequalification of Bidders will not be required. All proposals shall be submitted on bidding forms included in the Project Manual furnished by Kunkel Engineering Group, LLC, and in accordance with the provisions of the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to the CITY OF BERLIN in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Contract, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and the Insurance Certificate(s), as required by the Contract Documents, within 15 days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by the CITY OF BERLIN. Failure on the part of the Bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bidder's Certified Check or Bid Bond to the CITY OF BERLIN as liquidated damages. The CITY OF BERLIN reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the scheduled time for opening bids.
