The Work consists of approximately 3820 ft of 4", and 6"waterlines, valves, hydrants, and appurtenances required by this Specification and Drawings. Note: The Bidder of this project, i.e., General Contractor, shall be registered as a Prime Bidder on this project with the issuing office (Central Auction House) to submit a bid. Those Bidders who are not registered as a Prime Bidder and those without a valid Louisiana Contractor's license may not have their bids accepted at the bid opening. AIS and Davis-Bacon Wage rates do not apply to this project but are encouraged. Project to be constructed under a single prime contract. Contractor shall hold a Louisiana Commercial license in Municipal and Public Works Construction. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Waterworks District No. 1 reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
