Site work for a water / sewer project in New Roads, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work consists of drilling one 1,210 ft deep test hole, performing an electric log, taking sand and water samples, recommending screen setting for a 650 gpm, 12"x 8" production well. With approval, drill and set casing, screen, foundation and install final well pump and motor as outlined in Section 33 21 13 - Public Water Supply Wells and as shown on the Drawings. Note: The Bidder of this project, i.e., General Contractor, shall be registered as a Prime Bidder on this project with the issuing office (Central Auction House) to submit a bid. Those Bidders who are not registered as a Prime Bidder and those without a valid Louisiana Contractor's license may not have their bids accepted at the bid opening. AIS and Davis-Bacon Wage rates do not apply to this project but are encouraged. Project to be constructed under a single prime contract by a Louisiana licensed water well contractor. The work is classified as water well drilling. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Waterworks District No. 1 reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
