Repairing Certain Sections of Streets With Concrete. The City of Tipton Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids. The City of Tipton is accepting sealed bids for furnishing material and labor to remove asphalt and fill and to repair certain sections of streets with concrete. 1. The scope of work includes digging out sections of asphalt streets and/or rock, installing base rock, compact rock and pouring concrete. The bid shall include all material and labor. Debris removed from the road surface shall be delivered to the City's wastewater treatment plan, 30480 Bahner Quarry Rd. 2. Streets to be repaired: A. Meadowlark Ln - remove 30' wide x 100' long asphalt section on the farthest west side, install 5" of 1" base compacted rock, pour section with 5,000 psi concrete using 1/2 " rebar on 12" centers each way, and pour (2) 15' radius' at Hwy 50, complete with a broom finish and pour approximately 25' of curb on the west side of the street. B. High St & Hwy 50 Intersection - remove 50' wide (radius down to 30') x 30' long asphalt section, install 5" of 1" base compacted rock, pour section with 5,000 psi concrete using 1/2 " rebar on 12" centers each way, complete with a broom finish. The City will be responsible for grate replacement. C. Patch spots: 1. Highland Ave & alley way entrance - remove rock in the 7' x 12' area, install 5" of 1" base compacted rock, pour section with 5,000 psi concrete, 6" thick 2. 405 Ferguson Ave - replace 20' of radius curb to Randolph St using 5,000 psi concrete. Curb height on the back, curb face height and curb top will be determined by existing curb. Gutter thickness shall be 6".
