The Emergency Chlorine Scrubber system was installed at the Cañon City Water Treatment Plant in 1997. It is a RJ-2000 Emergency Vapor Scrubber System housed at 103 Tunnel Dr. Cañon City, CO 81212. This unit was last acid washed in 2016. Services to be provided: 1. Removal of the spent caustic liquid (approx. 2100 gals). 2. Acid washing of EVSS with HCl (20% Baume) for spent caustic solids removal. Amount of acid required to be determined by contractor. 3. Disposal of the rinse water. 4. The Contractor will refill scrubber with 20% Membrane Grade Caustic (2100 gals). 5. Inspection of all system components including: a. Inspection/cleaning of nozzles b. Inspection of exhaust fan and belt adjustment c. Measure motor amperages d. Lubrication of moving parts as needed e. Replace gasket of the top access cover f.
