Site work, new construction and renovation of a medical facility in Kamloops, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 226,800-square-foot, five-story above grade medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

The Project is comprised of two concurrent components: construction of the New Facility and the RIH Upgrades. New Facility: The New Facility is a stand-alone five-storey building of approximately 21,000 square meters in size, which will include space for: An outpatient ambulatory clinic unit with 10 examination rooms and 2 consult rooms to accommodate new patient consults and follow-up care; Radiation therapy planning including space for medical physicists, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and one computerized tomography ("CT") simulator, which will be used to develop treatment plans for the delivery of radiation therapy; Radiation therapy delivery including three linear accelerators ("Linacs") for external beam treatments; Radiation treatment support for patient review and urgent care; One MRI suite with change rooms, IV preparation space, and scanner; Other areas including public waiting, sacred space, staff facilities and administration (medical staff and information management/information technology); A new integrated four-level 470 stall parkade; and A sub-surface hard-wired connection to the rest of the RIH campus to ensure integration of communications, building maintenance, and security systems. RIH Upgrades: The RIH Upgrades include renovations to approximately 2,900 square meters of existing RIH facilities including the following: Administration program with offices and workstations; Pharmacy with workstations, offices, and improvements to storage areas, decanting spaces, and material flows in core department; CON clinic with: Oncology ambulatory care unit with 10 exam and 2 consult rooms; 14 systemic therapy chair bays and 3 systemic therapy stretcher rooms; 1 medical day care chair bay and 1 medical day care treatment room; and Staff support and workspaces; and Renovation and relocation of other impacted hospital programs and services. The Project will be situated on the following two sites on the RIH campus: a) the New Facility will be located on the existing Westlands site, immediately west of RIH; and b) the RIH Upgrades will be incorporated into existing spaces through renovations of existing RIH buildings.
