RFP - Mozingo Visitor Center Roofing Services Purpose of Request for Proposal This Request for Proposal is being sought for professional roofing services to install roof shingles for the Visitor Center at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park, 24665 Ridge Road, Maryville, Missouri. The facility is designed at 3,208 square-feet & includes a basement, five (5) offices, a retail area, restrooms, and storage areas. The city has partnered with the Maryville R-II Technical School for the construction of the Mozingo Visitor Center. This request is to assist with the completion of the project by installing the shingles. The 1/2 " OSB roof sheathing has already been installed by the Maryville Technical School. The roof area is approximately 4,360 square-feet. The City of Maryville, Missouri is requesting proposals for Roofing Services for the purpose of installing roof shingles for the Visitor Center, at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park. Enclosed you will find a copy of the bid documents for your review and submission. Within this packet is a list of materials needed and other guidelines to consider while preparing your proposal. The roof area is approximately 4,360 square-feet. Roofing materials have been pre-purchased through Bearcat Lumber in Maryville, Missouri. Roofing materials include (but not limited to): Roofing underlayment - 5,000 square-feet Owens-Corning Duration shingles (black) - 50 squares Owens-Corning Supreme Ridge shingles (black) - three (3) bundles Roof vents 12 Drip edge Water & Ice shield - 3 rolls (Ice Barrier is required per City Code) Hardware allowance The 1/2 " OSB roof sheathing has already been installed by the Maryville Technical School. Any additional roofing materials needed to complete the project will be required to obtain prior authorization from the City of Maryville & be purchased at Bearcat Lumber. Verification of available materials can be completed by contacting Bearcat Lumber. Delivery of materials, transportation costs, and off-haul of spoils are the contractor's responsibility. Work shall be in compliance with all applicable codes and industry standards. Insurance & Bond Requirements The City of Maryville will require the contractor to be licensed to perform work in the City of Maryville, thus a City of Maryville contractor's license will be required. The Contractor shall furnish and maintain during the life of this Contract adequate Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance. This insurance is to protect the City, Contractor and any subcontractor performing work covered by this Contract from claims for damages for personal injury, including accidental death and from claims for property damages which may arise from operations under this Contract, whether such operations be by itself or any subcontractor or by anyone directly or indirectly employed by either of them. Said Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance shall provide for a minimum coverage of no less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) per occurrence and two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) aggregate. This amount shall be effective prior to Notice to Proceed, being given and said amounts shall be adjusted by the Contractor on an annual basis pursuant to Sec. 537.610, RSMo or its successor. A performance bond for 100% of the Base Bid contract amount or authorized letter of credit must be submitted with the final contract award.
