Railroad Street Storm Project-Union Alley to Pindar Street Site Address: Railroad Street City: Urbana County: Champaign State/Province: OH Site Directions: On/near Railroad Street between Union Alley & Pindar Street in the City of Urbana. Est. Value Notes: 1,365,000.00 Est. Completion Date: Aug. 30, 2024 This project consists of a storm project within the City of Urbana on/near Railroad Street between Union Alley and Pindar Street. The project plans to install new storm manholes and storm lines consisting primarily of 38" x 60" elliptical and 48" round sizes. Water line and sanitary sewer relocations are necessary to install the storm system, and restoration work will follow the project work. The required completion date is on or before Friday, August 30, 2024. Question Deadline Mar 01, 2024 Bids shall be submitted electronically and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty Bond issued in favor of the City of Urbana, Ohio and the Board of the Champaign County Commissioners in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in favor of the City of Urbana, Ohio and the Board of Champaign County Commissioners in the amount of 100% of the Bid in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Furthermore, upon inspection and release of the performance bond, the awarded project contractor shall submit a maintenance bond in the amount of one half of the original performance bond amount in favor of the City of Urbana, Ohio and the Board of Champaign County Commissioners. The maintenance bond shall remain in full force for 36 months until final inspection and acceptance of the work by all parties covered under the bond. This project is funded in part with federal Community Development Block Grant funds. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions, Davis-Bacon Wages, Section 3 and Equal Opportunity provisions, and insurance requirements.
