1) 2024-01: General Construction The project consists of two new aeration tanks, the conversion of the existing oxidation ditches into activated sludge tanks, a new blower & electrical building, a new chemical building, a new final clarifier, a new open channel UV disinfection facility, related site/civil work. Location- 1800 SWATARA CREEK ROAD MIDDLETOWN, PA 17057 Either a Certified Check or a Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Derry Township Municipal Authority in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The Derry Township Municipal Authority hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. A. Conversion and expansion of the secondary process including two new aeration tanks and conversion of existing oxidation ditches to activated sludge tanks (all totaling 1.1 million gallons). B. New blower and electrical building and new chemical feed building. C. New final clarifier and associated piping. The existing Sludge Pumping Station will undergo demolition to install new return activated sludge (RAS) and waste activated sludge (WAS) pumps. D. New open channel UV disinfection facility in place of the existing in-pipe UV disinfection. E. Miscellaneous upgrades including a new influent pump, relocation of electrical equipment at the influent pump station, and a new drain valve vault adjacent to the drain pump station. F. Miscellaneous electrical, instrumentation and control, and civil improvements on site. The Work shall be substantially completed within 925 calendar days; final completion- 1,100 calendar days
