Question Deadline 04/08/2024 at 2:00 PM NT NL Health Services (NLHS) is administering this RFP to invite bidders to submit proposals for Biomedical Waste Disposal/Treatment service. This will be in accordance with the specifications and requirements set out in this RFI, as well as the Public Procurement Act. Optional: Biomedical waste disposal system (capital) and support service.
Proposal should include detailed information on how the system works.
Proposal should include the processing capacity of the equipment.
Supply, install and implementation
Training and support. # of people requiring training OHS specific to handling of Biomedical waste
as well as the equipment itself. Clear training plan.
PM/service plan for equipment
Space, electrical, mechanical and/or water systems required
Capital equipment checklist
Equipment to be house in Eastern (possibly secondary site)
Logistics solution for transporting from other sites
Acceptance testing: check conformance with general requirements, ensuring waste is disposed of in a non-hazardous manner (waste, water and air). Shall include
Microbiological testing (with biological indicators) as well as the physical test including temperature distribution and pressure as at a minimum). Test records will be supplied to NLHS. At a minimum, test records will show the following:
1) Type, brand, manufacturing date and location of the tested Treatment Equipment;
2) Type of test conducted;
3) A description of procedure involved;
4) Type and weight of the load together with a description of the containers used;
5) Location of the biological indicators and thermos-elements;
6) Process parameters measurement;
7) The results of the test, inclusive of the biological indicator resistance test; and
8) The makes of biological indicators use as well as their batch numbers, expiration dates and, if necessary, package types. Duration: 3 years
Option: 3, 5, 7, and 10 year terms will be considered Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
