The Town of Agawam Building Maintenance Department is seeking quotes for the Agawam Public Library HVAC Pump & Piping Modifications, located at 750 Cooper Street Agawam, MA 01001 in accordance with the Project Manual and plans dated December 20, 2023, and prepared by Casella Design Associates, LLC. The Contract is estimated to be $ 20,000.00. 1. SPECIFICATIONS: a) The work includes but is not limited to the following: All work required by the drawings and specifications, including, but not limited to the following: i. Visit the site and preparing a work plan to schedule the work, which shall be supplied to the Town of Agawam, Director of Building Maintenance for scheduling approval: ii. Clearly mark all areas for removal/modification and for new equipment for review by the Engineer, Architect and TOA: 1. Engineer shall be final arbiter of said work conformance to plans and specifications: iii. Furnish and install all protective materials required for the work, including but not limited to dust control, fire prevention, water and hazardous materials, spills and containment, door and carpet/flooring protection, and all other items and services required for the completion of the work. iv. Remove existing pipe insulation in the work areas. Mark and modify piping as per the plans and specified to accept new equipment. v. Install new concrete pad as shown on the plans. vi. Relocate two (2) chemical feeders. vii. Connect to existing four inch (4") chilled water piping. viii. Furnish & install a new building chilled water pump, related chilled water piping, valves and fittings. ix. Install new four inch (4") balancing valve. x. Insulate all new and affected piping. b) Related work and requirements, including but not limited to: a. All work in accord with the plans and specifications created by Casella Design Associates, LLC, b. All work in accord with the MA State Building Code, Mechanical Code, manufacturer's written instructions and all other required and applicable Codes, c. All safety measures and measures required to keep the area watertight and secure, d. All insurances, bonds worker's comp and other required state and local requirements, i. Contractor shall verify all dimensions and field conditions prior to the commencement of work, and prior to the completion of the shop drawings, iii. Scheduling for removal of roofing and reinstallation, as well as placement of staging as it related to exits and exit access shall be coordinated with the owner, as the structure must remain active while the work progresses. The building MUST be DRY and secure at the end of each work session, and any damage from water or other damages resulting from this work shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. iv. All materials shall be CAREFULLY carried through to the boiler room, which is located on the lower floor and passes through FINISHED areas, that must be protected. v. All clean-up of the entire work area, and repair for all damaged areas, including but not limited to all damaged walls, rails, doors, stair treads grass, plantings driveways, and any other damage that occurs as a result of the work: e. As per MGL Chapter 149, Sec. 44A, all Contractors shall be OSHA trained, licensed and insured. f. The Contractors must qualify for, be registered with and hold all required licenses, certifications and meet all qualifications as required by the State of MA at the time of the work, as well as carry all required insurances and have paid all fees and Worker's Compensation as required by the State of Massachusetts and the Town of Agawam. c.
