Renovation of a parking garage in Washington, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Contractor agrees to provide the scope of work as defined in bid #031224-CH Sq. Shoring and GAI's Temporary Shoring Design Sketch Sheet drawings as provided. By submitting a bid, the Bidder warrants that if the County makes an award to the Bidder, the Bidder shall, at the option of the County, enter into a written contract with the County. This contract shall consist of the terms and conditions set forth in the Bid, Bulletins (if applicable), Specifications, and these Instructions to Bidders. If no bid bond or substitute is required and Bidder shall pay to the County the difference in the amount specified in bid and the amount County shall pay to fulfill the specifications. Interested parties may email any written request for clarifications or information to the Washington County Purchasing Office to: Dalton Thompson, Contract Manager at dalton.thompson@co.washington.pa.us or to Randy Vankirk, Director of Purchasing at vankirkr@co.washington.pa.us. Any requests for clarifications are due to be received no later than March 4th, 2024. Inquiries will not be accepted orally or via phone. Requests for Information (RFI's) will be distributed and responded to in the timeliest manner available and in question-and-answer form. Responses will be posted to the County website as listed herein in the form of an addendum. For each calendar day that any part of the work remains uncompleted after the expiration of the time allowed for completion of the work stipulated in the Contract or extension of time granted by the Owner or as automatically increased by the additional work or materials ordered after the Contract is signed, a sum per day of $500.00 shall be deducted from any money due the Contractor. The Owner shall have the right to recover said sum or sums from the Contractor, the Surety or both. Project will be completed 30 calendar days after the issuance date of the Notice to Proceed, anticipated to be approximately April 20, 2024, for project completion. The term of this Agreement will be from March 21, 2024 until April 30, 2024 or project completion, whichever occurs sooner, unless otherwise terminated pursuant to the terms of this Agreement or given 30- days written notice of intent to terminate according to the termination clause herein. All bids must be in the format requested and must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and specifications. Washington County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. It is expected that work in accordance to any award begin within 30 calendar days of any such award.
