Renovation of an educational facility in Reading, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of April 24, 2024 the following awarded contractors are: Uhrig Construction GC $7,739,700.00, Five Star, Inc. MC - $11,898,000.00, and Hirneisen Electric EC $3,377,000.00. The Reading School District is soliciting sealed bids for the High School HVAC & Controls Replacement (Project) in the form of MULTIPLE prime lump sum contract(s). Contract 1: General Construction Contract 2: Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Construction Contract 3: Electrical Construction A proposal shall be rejected unless accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total of the Base Bid. Bid Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bank cashiers check payable to Owner or a Bid Bond in the form set forth herein, naming as obligee, the Owner. Contract Documents, the Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the forms included in the Contract Documents each in an amount of 100% of the contract amount, in favor of the Reading School District Please contact Elisabeth Hamscher (ech@dhuy.com) with any questions.
