Description: MATERIAL BID ITEMS 101-2024 (1) 80 Tons of Emulsified Asphalt 103-2024 (3) 2,000 Tons Grade "B" of Hot Mix Asphalt 106-2024 (6) 3,000 Tons 3/8-inch "Driveway Grade" Hot Mix Asphalt 108-2024 (8) 1,500 Tons Drain Aggregate (sump rock) 109-2024 (9) 500 Tons 1/2-inch Seal Coat Aggregate 110-2024 (10) 5,000 Tons 1/2 -inch Winter Traction Aggregate Refer questions, as appropriate, to Brian Hensel in Streets Operations & Maintenance Division, (406) 552-6361, (406) 240-2742 Proposals must be accompanied by cashier's check, certified check, or bank money order drawn and issued by a national banking association located in the State of Montana, by any banking corporation incorporated in the State of Montana, or by a bid bond or bonds executed by a surety corporation authorized to do business in the State of Montana in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the required contract. The bid security shall identify the same firm as is noted on the bid proposal form. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required of the successful bidder in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the aggregate of the proposal for the faithful performance of the contract and protection of the City of Missoula against liability. Pursuant to Section 18-1-102 Montana Code Annotated, the City is required to provide purchasing preferences to resident Montana vendors and/or for products made in Montana, against the bid of a nonresident if the state of the nonresident enforces a preference for residents. The City of Missoula reserves the right to waive informalities, to reject any and all bids, and if all bids are rejected, to re-advertise under the same or new specifications, or to make such an award as in the judgment of its officials best meets the City's requirements. Any objections to published specifications must be filed in written form with Brian Hensel, Deputy Director of Streets Operations & Maintenance Division, 435 Ryman, Missoula, MT 59802 prior to bid opening at 2:00 pm on March 4, 2024. Contract Time: The successful bidder agrees to provide the specified product at the guaranteed unit price for a period of one (1) year commencing upon Notice of Award issuance date. Notice of Award documents will be mailed to successful bidder and be postmarked no later than (2) weeks after bid opening date.
