Renovation of a municipal facility in Makanda, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
*As of 03/22/2024, all bids have been rejected. A timeline for rebid has not been established yet.* This project involves replacement of metal roofing at the City of Carbondale's Cedar Lake Office. All labor and materials necessary to complete the work to be provided by the Contractor. All Materials, accessories, and fasteners shall be incidental to the project. Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the City and shall be marked Bid No. 24-35. Bid security in the form of a certified bank check or bank draft payable to the City of Carbondale, or a satisfactory bid bond, in the amount of $1,000.00. The proceeds of any bid security shall become the property of the City if, for any reason, the successful bidder withdraws his or her bid or if upon Notice of Award, refuses or is unable to execute the contract. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wage of Employee on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12). No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without consent of the City of Carbondale, The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the provisions of this Invitation for Bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City.
