This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Dayton, Ohio. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
The City of Dayton, Department of Water, is seeking proposals from highly experienced and professional consulting firms to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the City of Dayton's flood control system. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) contacted the Miami Conservancy District (MCD) to initiate the process for MCD to submit documentation showing that the flood control system in the City of Dayton meets the requirements of Section 65.10 of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations (Levee Accreditation). MCD, as the local agency responsible for flood control, is the lead agency in the Levee Accreditation process. However, within the City of Dayton corporation limits the City of Dayton, Department of Water (Dayton Water) is responsible for flood gates, flood control lift stations, and the interior storm drainage system. Thus, Dayton Water will partner with MCD in the Levee Accreditation process and be responsible for interior drainage analysis as well as operations and maintenance documentation for flood gates and flood control pump stations. With that said, the City does own one levee system within Montgomery County and the levee system will require full levee accreditation, analysis, and reporting covering all eleven (11) section of 44CFR 65.10. Dayton Water also intends to evaluate the City's flood control system to identify any system improvements needed and ensure that the City is protected from flooding. Last Day to Submit Questions: 12:00 PM local (Dayton OH) time on March 20, 2024 Please direct all communications regarding the RFP process to: City of Dayton, Department of Water Emad Toufils 320 W.
