Renovation of a military facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits and fees necessary for the Roof & HVAC Replacement - LA Federal Armory located at Los Angeles Readiness Center - LA Federal Armory, 1300 Federal Avenue, Los Angeles, California. Work to include: Remove & replace the roof, decking, insulation and sheathing with new SBS metalflex system as indicated on the drawings but not limited to drip edge replacement, gutter replacement, blister repair, fishmouth repair, edge and base flashing repair and reseal all roof edge / flashing metal junctures with new sealant. All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). The Contract Manager (CM) for this project is LTC Flores, Francisco, at Francisco.Flores@.ca.gov or the Assistant CM MSG Kendall, Bill at herbert.w.kendall.nfg@army.mil. The prime contractor MUST possess a type B - General Building Contractor license, or subcontract to one. Additional site walkthrough note: Prospective bidders MUST sign-in prior to the start of the job walk, attend the entire job walk and be present for roll call at the conclusion of the job walk. Bidders who do not remain for the entire job walk will be considered non-responsive and will not be allowed to bid on this project. The Government Estimate for this project is $2,297,912. All questions regarding this IFB MUST be submitted to LTC Flores, Francisco, at Francisco.Flores@ca.gov and MSG Kendall, Bill at herbert.w.kendall.nfg@army.mil no later than 4:00 PM on 3/6/2024. If an addendum is necessary, it will be issued prior to the Bid Opening. The bid opening will be held on 3/20/2024 at 2:00 PM This project includes removal & replacement of the roof, decking, insulation, and sheathing with new SBS metal flex system as indicated on the drawings but not limited to drip edge replacement, gutter replacement, blister repair, fish mouth repair, edge and base flashing repair and reseal all roof edge / flashing metal junctures with new sealant. Contractor shall install roof hatch safety railing system as shown on plans in addition, contractor shall replace identified HVAC Roof Top Units to include curbs in accordance with plans and specifications. Contractor shall remove and replace damaged flooring in lobby area (138) in accordance with plans and specifications. Contractor to remove floor to include raised flooring partition wall, acoustical wall, and damaged T-Bar ceiling in accordance with Plans and specifications (Rooms 217,218). Contractor to replace removed flooring and T-Bar ceiling in accordance with plans and specifications (Rooms 217,218). 1.2 Any materials that are suitable for recycling shall be recycled. 1.3 Accomplish all work in accordance with the drawings and specifications contained herein. 1.4 Accomplish all work in accordance with California Building Codes (2022 Editions). 1.5 Perform the above-mentioned work at the Los Angeles Readiness Center 1300 Federal Avenue, Los Angeles, California, 90025.All work shall comply with this scope of work and the attached plans and specifications. Contractor is required, at no additional cost to when directed by the COR, to fully utilize Procore for the duration of the project including but not limited to Schedules, RFI's, submittals and inspections. Contractor will provide all project documents including project schedule in the native files as requested. Should the department require the use of Procore, the prime contractor shall provide evidence of Procore General Contractor and Superintendent certifications within 2 weeks of the department's request and shall maintain at least one Procore certified individual(s) on the project team through closeout.
