Renovation of an educational facility in Hillsdale, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work of this project consists of, but is not limited to the Scope of Work listed below. This scope is preliminary and for information purposes only. It is the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work as shown, specified and required based upon the contract documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, etc.). To assure adequate planning and execution of the work so that the work is completed within the umber of calendar days allowed in the Contract, and to assist the Owners Representative in appraising the reasonable ness of the proposed schedule and in evaluation progress of the work, prepare and maintain the schedules and reports described in this section. Refer also to the General Conditions, Article 3. In the event of conflict between this section and Article 3, GC, Article 3 shall govern. Sawtooth EPDM Roof Sections 1. Make any necessary repairs, including removal of any wet insulation and roofing materials and replace with like materials. 2. Install new cow tongue roof suppers, scupper box and downspout in all valleys per the roof drawings. 3. Allow repairs to cure completely. 4. Carefully power wash all roof surfaces with greater than 2,000 psi pressure to remove debris, rust, scale, dirt, dust, chalking, peeling or flaking coatings, etc. Do not force water into the roof system or damage roof surfaces. 5. Wearing personal protective clothing and equipment, treat areas of algae, mildew or fungus with a solution of three quarts of warm water and TSP or Simple Green Solution. 6. Rinse at least twice to be sure all cleaning agents or contaminants are 7. completely removed to prevent adhesion issues. 8. If the roof surface becomes contaminated with dirt, dust or other particles at any time during the application of the LiquiTec system, cleaning measures must be taken to restore the surface to a suitable condition. 9. Apply LiquiTec Base Coat at 3 gal./ sq. and embed Grip Polyester Firm Scrim in base coat. Scrim should be fully embedded. 10. Allow to cure thoroughly. (24 hours) 11. Prior to field coating application, the local Garland Representative needs to complete n inspection of all treated seams and details. 12. After base coat and scrim are installed, apply a top coating of LiquiTec Top Coat in a uniform manner at minimum application rate of 2 gal./ 100 SF over the entire roof surface, including all flashings. C. Gravel Surface Modified Repair 1. Spud back the existing gravel a minimum of 4' from the existing exposed drain flashing. 2. Remove the existing drain flashing and field membrane a minimum of 2' from the existing exposed drain flashing. 3. Remove and replace any saturated material, down to the roof deck, and replace with same type and kind. 4. Install new roofing membrane and drain flashing to return the roof to watertight.
