The Work comprises furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and services for Miscellaneous Improvements at Mishawaka Water Resource Recovery Facility. This project includes, but is not limited to, rebuild offour (4) existing raw sewage pumps, replacement ofthree (3) butterfly valves for the process air system, and replacement oftwelve (12) slide gates and associated actuators for aeration tanks. The drawings and specifications have been prepared by Greeley and Hansen LLC, 8250 Haverstick Road, Suite 285, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or bank cashier's check on a solvent bank or trust company, drawn to the order ofthe Board of Public Works and Safety ofthe City of Mishawaka, Indiana, or an acceptable Bid Bond on the form attached, in an amount of not less than 5 percent (5%) ofthe total bid. This sum is a guarantee that, ifthe Bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred twenty-five percent (125%) ofthe contract price before commencing work. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period. The Board of Public Works and Safety ofthe City ofMishawaka, Indiana reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities and to accept the bid which it deems most favorable to the interests ofthe City, after all bids have been examined and canvassed. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days.
