SEALED BIDS shall be received by the Department of Purchase, Town of Islip for Contract Maintenance and Modernization of Traffic Signals. Entrance to the building for both drop off and opening is from the main entrance in the front of the building. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified chick acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to the Town of Islip. No responsibility shall attach to any pel son or persons for premature opening of bids not properly labeled or sealed. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and a 1 bids in whole or part, to waive any informality in any or al I bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems favorable to the Town No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (46 days) after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected, or at least two (2) bids are not receives, the Department of Purchasing is fully authorized to readiertise for bids.
