The successful bidder will repair approximately 100 feet of the left bank of Pistol Creek and approximately 275 feet of both banks of Battle Creek flowing through Bicentennial Park in Maryville, TN, as more fully described in the plan documents. Soil and vegetative bioengineering techniques will be used to stabilize existing streambanks including streambank grading, installation of coir fiber matting and stone at the toe of the bank, and native vegetation planting including 50 ball and burlap trees and 67 bare root seedlings. This project also involves the relocation of a section of greenway trail. The bids will consist of a Base Bid, and a Bid Alternative 1. The City of Maryville will choose which bid to proceed with based on available budget. Responsive bidders must have familiarity with streambank stabilization construction techniques and provide a brief list of similar projects successfully completed within the past five years, with references. Bid packages that do not include this information will be rejected. The project herein described as the base bid is to be completed within sixty (60) calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run. Please see the Technical Special Provisions for further scheduling requirements. Liquidated damages for delay of completion of contract will be in accordance with the Agreement (Contract). All bidders must be able to demonstrate before the award of the contract that the proposer (and subcontractors if applicable) has all appropriate licenses and certifications required in the State of Tennessee to perform the Services. This project is funded by the City of Maryville. The Contractor shall comply with all State, Federal, and Local laws and/or regulations. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids.
