This scope represents an annual contract, with a yearly renewal option for a maximum of four (4) additional years, for the application of aquatic herbicide and surfactant(s) to approximately 2,500 acres in various locations primarily across Lake B.A. Steinhagen, Sam Rayburn Reservoir, and the lower Neches Basin to control invasive vegetation. The contractor may be required to make herbicide applications on Sam Rayburn Reservoir and Lake B.A. Steinhagen for up to 100% of the contract time. Contractor shall furnish airboat, fuel, 2 crew members per boat, and all necessary equipment for the application of aquatic herbicides in open water areas, as well as among trees, along boat lanes, and park areas. At a minimum, herbicide application equipment shall consist of airboat mounted boom sprayers, appropriate for use in open water applications, and a hand-held wand capable of spraying a distance of forty feet (40'). Sprayer pumps may be injector or mixer type. Chemicals for this project will be provided and made available for pickup at the Town Bluff Project office on Lake B.A. Steinhagen or the Sam Rayburn Project Office on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner will reject the Bid of any Bidder that Owner finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. liquidated damages, or if no liquidated damages are specified in the Construction Contract, actual damages caused by delayed performance or non-performance of the Contractor.
