Where Work Will Be Performed: Virginia Department of Health (VDH) - Hampton & Peninsula Health District 836 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Suite A Newport News, VA 23601 Period of Contract: Period Of Contract: From February 29, 2024 through June 30, 2025 All inquiries should be directed to: Tina Klaugh Buyer Office of Procurement and General Services email: tina.klaugh@vdh.virginia.gov SCOPE OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS (SPECIFICATIONS): A. The Contractor shall: 1. SERVICES: The contractor shall provide coordination, materials and installation for all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, and materials, as necessary, to provide a fully operational 32 kW generator with 200 amp automatic transfer switch. Continuous and final cleaning and debris removal for the generator and electrical panel work. 2. The contractor shall provide supervision, project management, and debris removal to run all required circuits to the generator subpanel for electrical wiring for all required circuits for the refrigerators, freezers, A/C units and other applicable room circuits to the subpanel that will be backed up by the generator. 3. Drywall opening, repair and paint of any drywall that will be opened to rewire circuits to the generator panel. 4. Obtain all necessary city/county permits. 5. Install wiring and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). ATS will be in the main electrical room. 6. Install gas line from the gas meter to the new generator and make up connections. 7. Unit will be located as close to the building near the existing gas feed as possible. 8. Provide and install 43 linear feet of 8' high commercial grade ornamental fence, panels are 4 rail design with 3/4 " pickets and walk in gate is 4' wide with pad lock hasp. 9. Provide and install (4) bollards on each corner outside of the fenced generator pad. 10. Include the battery for the new generator. 11. Provide training for the generator usage. 12. Provide annual maintenance service cost recommended and/or required by the manufacturer to include changing the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, valve adjustment, electrical checks, and adjustments. 13. Electrical As-Builts and the panel schedule are included as a separate attachment. B. The Department will: 1. Assign a Contract Administrator to oversee the contract. The Contract Administrator is responsible for making sure that the services are provided in accordance with the terms of the contract and cannot make any changes to the contract. Any changes to this contract shall be in accordance Section VII., Paragraph E., of this contract and will come from VDH's Office of Purchases and General Service (OPGS). This public body does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, 2.2-4343.1 or against a bidder or offeror because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation, or veteran status or any other basis prohibited by state law relating to discrimination in employment. Faith-based organizations may request that the issuing agency not include subparagraph 1.f in General Terms and Condition C. Such a request shall be in writing and explain why an exception should be made in that invitation to bid or request for proposal.
