Construction Materials Testing and Inspection Services for Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center BACKGROUND This project is located at 115 North Elm Avenue, Ames, IA 50010. The Project includes the construction of a new single story, indoor aquatic center consisting of a lap pool, recreation pool, wellness pool, multi-purpose rooms, and walking area. Construction of the building's shell includes concrete foundations, precast concrete wall panels, structural steel, steel joists, steel decking, EPDM roofing system, and glazed aluminum curtain wall. Work also includes demolition, polished concrete floors, cold-formed metal framing, joint sealants, doors, aluminum storefront, gypsum board, tile, acoustical ceilings, resinous flooring, LVT, carpeting, painting, high performance coatings, pools, pool equipment, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, controls, earthwork, concrete paving, asphalt paving, landscaping, water service, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer. SCOPE OF WORK City of Ames will hire an independent Testing Agency/Service Provider to perform the following testing and inspection and provide test results to the Construction Manager, Architect, Engineer, and Contractors in accordance with Contract Documents of the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center Project - Bid No. 2024-063. The City of Ames is requesting proposals to provide construction materials testing and inspection services for the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center, 115 N Elm, Ames, IA for the Parks & Recreation Department. This project is using the Construction Manager as Advisor delivery method with Story Construction as the Construction Manager. The City is in the process of finalizing (14) multi-prime contracts with contractors to complete the project. Story Construction's role will be to coordinate all construction materials testing & inspection services for the project.
