The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from contractors for collecting surface pavement condition data. The Contractor selected following this RFP process will be tasked with collecting surface pavement condition data for highways and side roads throughout the Province of British Columbia in the summers of 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027. It is expected that the successful contractor will have the capacity and capability of surveying and collecting data for up to a 100% of the Ministry's paved road network each year (about 24,000 km); however, the Ministry may direct the contractor to survey only part of its paved road network. A separate contract exists for the quality control of the data collection process resulting from this RFP. There must be an 'arm's length' relationship between the successful proponent of this RFP and the successful proponent of the pavement management services RFP.
