The City of Victoria invites tenders for the electrical upgrade at the Yates Street Parkade. All enquiries relating to the tender during the tendering period or following the award of the contract shall be directed to Kathryn Daitl, B.Comm, NISCL-CSCL, Senior Buyer, at via email to purchasing@victoria.ca. Work includes but is not limited to: i. Removal of existing BC Hydro Utility Service and associated service distribution as indicated. ii. Removal of the existing electrical distribution equipment and associated conduit and wiring as indicated. iii. Provision of new electrical room as indicated. iv. Provision of a new 1600A, 208V, 3-phase BC Hydro Utility service as indicated. v. Provision of new electrical distribution equipment as indicated. vi. Provision of new wiring and conduits as indicated. vii. Provision of all Civil works required to complete the scope of work as indicated. viii. Provision of Arc Flash, Short-Circuit and Protective Device Coordination Study (using a Cash Allowance) as indicated. Refer to Section 1.7. ix. Provision of an extended or new Building Ground System (using a Cash Allowance) as indicated. Refer to Section 1.7. x. Provision of all forms and plans as indicated. xi. Removal of hazardous material encountered during the removal of the existing equipment and during the installation of the new equipment. This includes any testing, air sampling and post installation air sampling. This is to be completed in accordance with the Hazardous Materials Exposure Control Plan.
