The City of Monroe is requesting individual sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the 24-Inch Raw Water Main & 20-Inch Finished Water Main Extension project. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for constructing the improvements as shown on the drawings and as specified. The work consists of installation of approximately 14,602 linear feet of 24-inch raw water main and appurtenances and approximately 3,632 linear feet of 20-inch finished water main and appurtenances and other related work as detailed in the specifications and on the construction drawings. Time allotted for this project is 365 consecutive calendar days from notice to proceed. Contractor’s License: Per Georgia state law, only bids from state licensed contractors will be considered. Each bidder’s utility contractor license number shall be clearly written on the face of his bid’s sealed container, or the bid will not be considered. Proposals shall contain prices, in words and figures, for the work bid on. All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, or a bid bond of a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Upon proper execution of the agreement and required bonds, the checks or bid bonds of all bidders will be returned to them. Time allotted for this project is 365 consecutive calendar days from notice to proceed.
Contractors previously pre-qualified for this project are still considered qualified bidders and are not required to resubmit. Beginning on Monday, March 4, 2024, a copy of the application and qualification requirements can be obtained, via email from Matt Henderson, P.E. at mrh@wiedeman.com.
