The City of South San Francisco is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to install north and south security gates with access point controls at Fire Station 64 located at 2350 Galway Drive, South San Francisco, CA 94080. Each qualified Proposer is to submit a proposal in conformity with the terms of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") by the deadline below ("Proposal"). The Proposer selected by the City pursuant to the terms of this RFP and the City's contracting procedures, if any is selected, is referred to herein as "Contractor" Scope of Work The City of South San Francisco is seeking the services of an experienced consultant to procure, install and integrate to the City's existing LenelS2 Netbox Access Control System motorized security gates with fencing. The contractor shall provide the following: Install two metal mechanically powered gates with associated fencing on both entrances to the fire station from the Galway Side. The fencing shall prohibit access by both vehicles and pedestrians to either driveway on the Galway side. Both motors must be integrated with the access control system and contain an exit sensor on the station side of the fence. Contractor may submit one quote for chain link fence and an additional quote for reinforced or hardened metal gates as options to the City. Procure all necessary S2 enterprise licenses and equipment including, but not limited to, Netbox controllers or nodes, HID card readers, key cards or FOB compatible with existing system and compatible with all existing card readers installed at city buildings. License shall include Active Directory integration license Install all equipment including any necessary wiring at all locations, including gate operation switch installation inside of the fire station. Configure the S2 system with new equipment, locations, naming conventions, scheduling. Will need to coordinate with City existing S2 contractor and staff. Provide Training to staff on all aspects of the new hardware, and system setup. The proposal must include a 5-year warranty. Contractor shall recommend any necessary improvement to the design. Existing Environment The City uses the LenelS2 Enterprise NetBox system that controls over 158 portals in four different buildings. The current system is on software version 5.4.2, with 1119 cardholder licenses used. It is configured to use door schedules, user access, and has different types of card readers. The north and south gate installations at 2350 Galway Drive, South San Francisco, CA 94080 will integrate Fire Station 64 and its access points into this existing system. The City reserves the right to terminate the Contract at any time if services provided are unsatisfactory. The City also reserves the right to extend the Contract, subject to the availability of funding. The City may extend the Contract for (2) additional one 1-year terms. The City is not obligated to extend the Contract. If the City does not extend the Contract but requires time to solicit for and secure an alternative contractor, Contractor shall continue to provide the services in the Scope of Work on a month-to-month basis, not to exceed six (6) months, at the same cost, terms and conditions in effect at the expiration of the Contract.
