PURPOSE AND GENERAL INFORMATION It is the intent of this request is to solicit bids for replacing sidewalks on Flint City Hall property, located at 1101 S. Saginaw St., Flint, MI 48503, through the Facilities Maintenance Division. There are several badly deteriorated sidewalk squares throughout the property that need to be replaced. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment for receiving, unloading, transporting, laying and testing of the sidewalks. Contractor shall furnish all necessary accessories to complete the sidewalk work as shown on the plans and specified herein. SCOPE OF SERVICES The City of Flint is inviting bids from City of Flint licensed sidewalk contractors interested in providing sidewalk replacement services at Flint City Hall. Services will include removing and replacing deteriorated sidewalk squares, as well as restoration services, on City Hall property. All sidewalks to be removed will be marked with pink paint by the City Engineer, City Inspector or authorized representative. No unmarked sidewalks removed and replaced will be authorized for payment unless authorized by the City Engineer, City Inspector or authorized representative. All contractors are required to be licensed through the City of Flint, Clerk’s Office. The sidewalk permit fee will be waived. Contractors will be responsible for any and all damages resulting from the Contractor’s actions including damage to sprinkler systems during the removal and replacement of sidewalks. Sprinkler systems and other damaged areas must be repaired within ten (10) business days. It is the Contractor's responsibility to contact Miss Dig before work commences. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any/or all bids, to waive any irregularities and technical defects contained therein, to award the contract in its entirety, in part or not at all and/or to determine which bid is the lowest and/or best to enter into a Contract, as it may deem to be in the best interest of the City of Flint.
