Site work for a water / sewer project in Girard, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Part 1: Churchill Booster Station Improvements . The work covered by the Contract Documents involves renovation of existing booster pump station; a new three booster pump skid package with drives and controls; piping and valve renovations; miscellaneous architectural renovations to building; new electrical work for the booster package, new Remote Terminal Unit (RTU); new unit heater, and all other appertaining work necessary to complete the work as detailed in the plans and specifications. Question Deadline 03/04/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding and Contract Documents are to be directed to the ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in writing. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Prospective BIDDERS may address inquiries to Mr. Mac Love, via e-mail at mac.love@burgessniple.com. All questions MUST be submitted via e-mail or in writing. Part 2: Tibbetts Wick Booster Station Improvements . The work covered by the Contract Documents involves renovation of existing booster pump station; three new booster pumps, drives and controls; piping and valve replacements; miscellaneous architectural renovations; new electrical service entrance, new lighting panel, new lighting and general building power; new remote terminal unit, systemwide SCADA improvements, and all other appertaining work necessary to complete the work as detailed in the plans and specifications. Part 2 is being partially funded by Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) grant money and will be administered per the requirements of OPWC grant projects. Engineer s Opinion of Probable Construction Costs for Both Parts: $1,110,000 Each bid must contain the full names of the party or parties making the same, with an affidavit as to interested parties, and in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, with a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty Bond for the full amount (100%) of the Bid, in favor of the City of Girard, Ohio or a certified check, cashier s check, or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid, payable to the City of Girard, Ohio. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Trumbull County and the City of Girard, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. Ohio Revised Code 153.011 apply to this project. All material, items, and appurtenances supplied and installed on this contract shall be manufactured in the U.S.A. unless contractor can demonstrate the items are not available in U.S.A. The attention of the bidders is directed to the requirement that each proposal must be accompanied by a Non Collusion Affidavit duly signed by the bidder, and a Personal Property Delinquent Tax Affidavit duly signed by the bidder required by Section 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code thereof. No Payment shall be made on any Contract for which no such affidavit has been submitted The City of Girard Board of Control reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to delete any part of the proposal herein. In accordance with Ordinance No. 6448-93, adopting the Standards of Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder when awarding competitive bid contracts Doc notes : Digital copies of the bid documents are also available with purchase of one (1) paper copy, if requested.
