The engineer associated with this Project is Remington & Vernick Engineers, 1010 Stony Hill Road, Suite 175, Yardley, PA 19067. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount of the Bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a Certified Check or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The amount of the fee which shall be due from the successful bidder to online is either 1/3% (0.0033) of the initial contract award amount for fixed fee contracts or 1/6% (0.00166) of the expected contract value for term contracts. The minimum fee is set at $100.00 and the maximum fee is capped at $5,000.00. Within fifteen (15) days of the award of the Contract, the successful bidder will be required to furnish bonds with a corporate surety issued by companies authorized to do business within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the prescribed forms dated the date(s) of the Contract covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder and in the amount of (100%) of the Contract value. Upon completion of the Contract, the successful bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final Contract value. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rate law, as amended, shall apply where the project cost is $25,000.00 or above for public work. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time, place and date above specified. Any bids received after the time for receiving of bids will not be considered. Award of the Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Borough reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bids received.
