Site work for a water / sewer project in Danville, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
It is the intent of this "RFP" secure a qualified contractor to perform construction services for the West Main Street Underground Project in accordance with the specifications defined in the proposal documents. The award will be made to the proposal conforming to the RFP and will be most advantageous to the City. Price, Technical recommendation by the City's Engineer, Utility Technology Engineers Consultants, and other factors considered such as delivery time, quality, operating and maintenance cost, service, resale value, etc. Unless otherwise specified all formal Proposals submitted shall be binding for sixty (60) calendar days following submission date Retainage in the amount of 5% will be withheld for each invoice until completion of the project. Upon completion, an invoice shall be sent to the department requesting the release of retainage for approval. Bonds - 5% Bid bond and 100% Payments and Performance bonds are required. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $10,000.00 per consecutive calendar day will be applied if project is not completed by the written deadline.
