As of April 8, 2024, the project was awarded to Carlton Group Inc., but the awarded amount is not available. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, and equipment necessary to provide scale deck replacement at the four (4) weigh stations named on page 1 of this solicitation. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, scale equipment, hardware, software, documentation, engineering, warranties, and services necessary for the removal and disposal of existing scales, pit modifications, and delivery/installation of the fully operational scales as specified herein. A Schedule of Values may be required upon DMV request. The demands of law enforcement and safety along with the volume of truck traffic for the DMV weigh stations require that all scale equipment used shall be classified as heavy duty with a proven track record of performance and minimal downtime for maintenance. In the last 5 years of operation, the following numbers of trucks were serviced per the table below. Please use the higher number for guidance when selecting scale equipment. Supply and install eighteen (18) scale platforms while making necessary scale pit repairs at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Motor Carrier Service Centers (weigh stations) named on page 1 of this solicitation. A Contractor may bid on one, several, or all of the locations listed on page 1 of this solicitation. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each location as a separate lot.
